Rackebrandt Invited To Prestigious NCAA Leadership Conference

Jacksonville, Fla. - Jacksonville University junior Ingrid Rackebrandt (Ft. Myers, Fla./Bishop Verot HS) was one of 353 student-athletes from around the country invited to attend the fourth annual NCAA Foundation Leadership Conference earlier this week. Rackebrandt, a member of the Dolphins' track and field team, was one of more than 880 student-athletes nominated from NCAA member institutions that participate in the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program. The conference will be held May 28 through June 1, 2000 at Disney's Wide World of Sports and Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Rackebrandt, who helped lead the Dolphins to a second place finish at the 2000 TAAC Track & Field Championships with a fifth place finish in the pole vault, will be joined by five other student-athletes from the Trans America Athletic Conference. TAAC representatives include Jennifer Mackey (UCF-Cross Country/Track & Field), Alicia Doherty (Georgia State-basketball), Scott Mora (Georgia State-Soccer), Anna Bengtsson (Mercer-soccer) and Miki Ford (Stetson-basketball).
