Track & field closes out UNF Spring Break Open
The Dolphins had only a few people competing, but they performed well to represent the JU track & field team on the final day of the UNF Spring Break in Jacksonville, Fla. on Saturday afternoon.

"We accomplished what we wanted to for the first outdoor meet,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “The throwers did a good job in the shot, discus and hammer. It is time to return to a significant training phase to prepare ourselves to be our best in mid-May for the A-Sun Championships and beyond."

Junior J’Zotta Rolle won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.62. Sophomore Stacey Young took second in the same event with a time of 1:04.44, while sophomore Alana Walker also ran well to place sixth (1:07.25).

In the shot put, senior Tiffany Bromfield recorded a toss of 42’0” for third place and freshman Sara Schunter finished fourth with a throw of 39’8.75”. Junior Laura Phillips took fifth (39’5.25”) in the event to round out JU’s day.

The Dolphins will train for the next two weekends before competing again at the FSU Relays on March 25.
