J’Zotta Rolle earns A-Sun Track “Athlete of the Week”
Junior J’Zotta Rolle produced the A-Sun’s best times in the 400-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay at the Pepsi Florida Relays to receive Atlantic Sun Conference Track “Athlete of the Week” honors.

Rolle, who is the second Dolphin to earn the weekly honor in the last two weeks, set a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.18 (15th). The time is ranked 31st nationally, 21st in the East region and first in the A-Sun.

She also ran the second leg of the 4x400-meter relay that broke the school record for the second week in a row with a time of 3:39.32 (12th). Besides the time ranking as the top mark in conference, the relay time is 19th nationally and 12th in the East region.

“J’Zotta ran a good hurdles race on Friday and an exceptional relay leg on Saturday,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “Both performances will likely earn a birth to the NCAA Championship 1st round in mid-May.”

Rolle earned her second career outdoor weekly honor and joins freshman Charlene Charles as the only two Dolphins to receive the accolades this season.

The Dolphins return to action on Saturday when they compete at the Seminole Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla.
