Unique Singleton earns A-Sun Track “Athlete of the Week” honors
Junior Unique Singleton posted two strong times in the 200-meter and 4x100-meter relay at the second annual JU-UNF Dual on April 29 en route to earning A-Sun Track “Athlete of the Week” honors.

Singleton won the 200-meter with a conference-leading time of 24.10 inside of a 1.7 head wind. She also ran the third leg of the 4x100-meter relay that posted a time of 44.86 (1st), which ranks first in the A-Sun and 10th in the East.

“Unique is rounding into her top form at the right time of year,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “She is motivated to succeed and she sets a great example for her teammates.”

The Kissimmee, Fla. native is the fourth Dolphin to earn the weekly honor this outdoor season after freshman Joane Pierre (4/21) and junior J’Zotta Rolle (4/7) won track performer accolades, while freshman Charlene Charles earned field “Athlete of the Week” on March 31.

Singleton will compete again for the Dolphins in the 4x400-meter relay on Saturday at the FSU Twilight in Tallahassee, Fla.
