Harvey and Lundy to compete in AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU track & field juniors Natasha Harvey and Shaquania Lundy will travel to Boston, Mass. this weekend to compete in the AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center on the campus of Roxbury Community College.

"This is a great opportunity for Tasha and Shaq," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "This level of competition will bring out the best in them."

Harvey, who earned All-America honors last season after finishing fourth in the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, had the fourth best jump in the nation entering the meet with a leap of 20-9.75" in the Tom Jones Memorial Classic on Jan. 27. Her career best long jump is a school record 21-05.25", which she recorded in 2006.

Lundy set the school record for the triple jump at the Clemson Invitational with a jump of 42-00". Her mark is the 15th best in the nation heading into this weekend's meet.

The AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships is the world's oldest indoor track championship, with the first meet being held in 1888 in New York.

Harvey, Lundy and the rest of the Dolphins will be back in action on Feb. 29 when they travel to Johnson City, Tenn,. looking to win their third consecutive Atlantic Sun Indoor Championship in a row.
