Track & field adds Bienna Freeman to round out 2010-11 roster
The JU track & field team refuses to rest of its laurels as the Dolphins added sophomore transfer Bienna Freeman (Christiana, Del. ) for the 2010-11 season.

Freeman spent her freshman season at Lincoln University (Pa.) and ran her indoor personal best of 2:09.31 in the 800-meter at the NYU Fastrack Invitational. During the outdoor season, she ran a personal best 4:45.86 in the 1500-meter at the Delaware State Track Invitational.

“We are excited to add Bienna to our roster,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “We will look for her to strengthen our talented middle distance group that will be chasing the NCAA qualifying standard for the distance medley relay during the indoor season. While the 800-meters is her specialty, she has the range to move up and down in distance. That versatility will make her very valuable to our program throughout her career.”

Freeman rounds out the newest JU class along with Bailee Hedstrom (St. Augustine, Fla.), Svenja Meyer (Appen, Germany), Akeela Bravo (Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago) and Sarah Mecklenburg (Jena Germany).
