Ronnisha Hall named A-Sun Field “Athlete of the Week”
Senior Ronnisha Hall was named A-Sun Field “Athlete of the Week” after breaking the program record in the discus during her first outdoor meet at the UNF Spring Break Open on March 4th.

Hall, who has missed the last two outdoor seasons, won the discus with a new personal-best throw of 148’7”. She also placed third in the shot put with a toss of 45’1.75” and fourth in the hammer with a 153’2”.

"Ronnisha picked up right where she left off indoors with some nice throws,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “It is nice to see her competing outdoors, and this is just the start of a big season for both Ronnisha and the throws group. Coach (Bambi) Carson is doing an excellent job and it seems school records are falling every time they enter the ring."

Hall earns her first career weekly conference honor and is the second Dolphin this season to earn accolades after sophomore Charlene Charlene was named Track “Athlete of the Week” for indoor on Feb. 2.

Hall and the Dolphins will return to action on Saturday with the UCF Black & Gold Challenge in Orlando, Fla.
