Track & field signs Alexis Taylor for the 2011-12 campaign
Another piece to the 2011-12 roster has been added to the JU track & field team as they announce the signing of hurdler Alexis Taylor (Sanford, Fla.) for next season.

Taylor, a senior at Lake Mary High School, ran a 300-meter hurdle time of 43.37 at the FSU Relay to rank 18thnationally and third in Florida. She plans to study nursing at JU.

“We are excited to add Alexis and her vivacious personality to our program,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “Coach Pauldo at Lake Mary has done a great job developing her talent and versatility. While the 400 hurdles will likely be her specialty at the collegiate level, she has the ability to contribute in a variety of sprint, hurdle or relay events.”

Taylor is the fourth signee to join the Dolphins for next season after Sally Marie Futch (Statesboro, Ga., throws), Sarah Bailey (Vernon, British Columbia, distance), Shadaey Campbell (Orlando, Fla., sprints) committed to JU earlier this semester.

The current Dolphins are back in action tomorrow at the UCF Twilight in Orlando, Fla.
