Women's Cross Country Finishes Second at Twi-Light Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's cross country team finished second, while the men finished sixth at the Twi-Light Cross Country meet hosted by the University of Florida Thursday evening.

The women's team finished with 71 total points, behind host Florida, which scored 23 points. JU's top finishers were Asjah Mahammad and Chelsea Knight with 19:55.45 and 19:57.42 times respectively.

On the men's side, Rowan Irons led the Dolphins with a 24:12.68 time. Kevin Barry followed with a 24:42.80 finish.

The Dolphins return to action when they host the Taco Bell/JU Invitational Friday, Sept. 15. The women's race will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the men will start at 6:15 p.m.
