Men's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at JTC Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University men's cross country team finished in eighth place at the Jacksonville Track Club Invitational meet, hosted by the University of North Florida Friday evening.

The men's team finished the 8,000-meter run with 199 total points. Kevin Barry led the Dolphins and finished 30th overall with a 30:09 time. Rowan Irons followed with a 30:38 finish.

Other JU scorers were Alan Lindell (39th, 31:03), Jeremy Berven (52nd 32:34) and Kellie Roberts (59th, 34:15). Florida International won the Invitational with 30 total points, followed by the University of Miami (44), Alabama-Huntsville (90), Valdosta State (117), North Florida (134), West Florida (139), Stetson (172). Flagler rounded out the competition with 225 points.

The Dolphins return to action when they travel to Gainesville, Fla. on Sept. 30 for the Florida Barnett Bank Invitational hosted by the University of Florida.
