Women's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at Campbell Invite

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Senior Adriana Campos finished fourth overall, while the Jacksonville University women's cross country team finished in fifth place at the Campbell European Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Campbell, Saturday morning.

The women's team finished the 5-K race with 62 total points. Campos led the Dolphins with an 18:49 time. April Nudo-Patterson, a senior, was right behind with a 19:32 time and a 12th place finish, while senior Asjah Muhammad came in 15th with a 19:36 mark.

Other JU scorers were Chelsea Knight (21st, 19:55), Christine Weiher (22nd, 20:03). Also participating in the competition were Ayesha Muhammad (23rd, 20:07) and Alexis Wieroniey (31st, 21:25). Georgia State won the Invitational with 42 total points, followed by UNC-Greensboro (50) and Campbell (59). Mercer rounded out the competition with 152 points.

The Dolphins return to action when they travel to Orlando, Fla. on Oct. 7 for the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic.
