Andrea Pressley In First Place After Day One Of Seminole Twilight Meet

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - JU sophomore Andrea Pressley (Temple Hills, Md.) is in first place in the women's heptathlon after Day One of the Seminole Twilight Meet at Mike Long Track on the campus of Florida State.

Pressley competed in four events on Friday afternoon and will finish out the competition tomorrow. In the running events, Pressley ran a 13.88 in the 100-meter hurdles and a 25.02 in the 200-meter dash. In the fielding events, Pressley posted marks of 5'3.5" in the high jump and 41'10.5" in the shot put. Pressley is currently leading her closest competitor by 300 points.

Earlier this season, Pressley set a personal best score in the heptathlon of 5,015 at the FSU Relays, which she won.

In the men's decathlon, Phil Armijo (El Dorado, Kan.) is currently in fifth place with 3, 108 points and looks to improve his position in tomorrows final events.

A selected group of the JU track team will compete tomorrow in the final day of the meet.
