Track and Field Team Earns All-Academic Honors From USTCA
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's track and field team earned 2002 All-Academic Team honors by the United States Track Coaches Association. The Dolphins' 3.21 GPA ranked 14th in the nation among women's Division I track and field programs. BYU ranked first among women's track and field programs with a 3.57 GPA.

JU had 12 members from their women's cross country and track and field team earn Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference honors. Dani Ivanochko (La Ronge, Saskatchewan), Kate Benson (Land O'Lakes, Fla.) and Laura Winn (Wilmington, Mass.) each made the President's Honor Roll (4.0 GPA), while Chelsea Knight (Ypsilanti, Mich.), Jennifer Takach (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Alexis Wieroniey (Owings, Md.) made the Dean's List (3.5 GPA).

Ivanochko also became the Dolphins' long jump record-holder last season, while earning All-Atlantic Sun honors for the second straight year.
