Women's Cross Country Finishes 10th at Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's cross country team finished 10th out of 23 teams at the Gator Invitational 6K Saturday morning at the University of Florida Golf Course. Freshman Lindsey Moffenbier (McDonough, Ga.) was the top finisher for the Dolphins, as she finished 22nd out of 214 runners.

JU had four runners finish in the top 100, with Christina Bensi (Troy, N.Y.) finishing 51st, Tamsin Anstey (N. Vancouver, B.C.) 57th and Chelsea Knight (Ocean Grove, N.J.) 93rd. Freshman Rachel Garvin (Denton, Texas) finished 103rd, while Jen Tyler (Jupiter, Fla.) and Laura Winn (Wilmington, Mass.) finished 117th and 141st, respectively.

The JU men's and women's cross country teams return to action Friday, Oct. 11, as the Dolphins host the JU Invitational.
