Track and Field Earns All-Academic Honors From USTCA

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU women's track and field team earned 2003 All-Academic honors for the second consecutive year, the United States Track Coaches Association announced today. The Dolphins' 3.20 GPA ranked 27th in the nation among Division I women's track and field programs, while Bradley University ranked first with a team GPA of 3.46.

JU had 14 members from their women's track and cross country teams named to the 2002-03 Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team. Laura Winn made the President's Honor Roll (4.0 GPA) in both the fall and spring semesters, while 13 others combined to made the Dean's List (3.5 GPA) in either track or cross country.

The Dolphins' women's cross country team has also won the Athletic Director's GPA Award for the highest team GPA the last two years.
