Women's Cross Country Finishes Seventh At FSU Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Sophomore Lindsey Moffenbier (McDonough, Ga.) finished 12th, while sophomore Karen Edmonds (Green Cove Springs, Fla.) placed 21st in the 5K race to help lead the Dolphins to a seventh place finish out of 12 schools at the Florida State Invitational Friday night in Tallahasssee. Host Florida State, UCF, UNF, and Florida A&M were among some of the other schools that competed. Florida State won in both the men's and women's events with 59 and 28 points, respectively. Kevin Cook of Florida State won the men's 8K race, while Jenn Feenstra of Georgia State took home the women's title.

Jason Coates (Jacksonville, Fla.) was the only runner to place for the JU men, finishing 100th in the 8K run with a time of 30:04.25.

The Dolphins return to action when just the women will be traveling to Atlanta, Ga. to compete in the Georgia State Invitational next Saturday, Sept. 20th.
