Andrea Pressley Wins the Heptathlon at the Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University senior heptathlete Andrea Pressley (Upper Marlboro, Md.) won the heptathlon at the Coca Cola Florida Relays and set an NCAA provisional qualifying score after finishing first in the 100m hurdles, 200m dash and long jump and placing in the top-three in 5-of-6 events.

Pressley placed first in the 100m hurdles and 200m dash to capture the overall lead after day one and began day two by taking first place in the long jump with a career-best jump of 5.92m. Pressley followed up with a second-place finish in the javelin and capped her gold medal performance with a third place showing in the 800m run.

Pressley and the rest of the Dolphins return to action tomorrow at the Florida Relays.
