Women's cross country finishes third, men 12th at Stetson Hatter Invitational

DeLAND, Fla- - Sophomore Fallon Heffernan finished with a time of 19:16 to finish second and help the Jacksonville women's cross country team to a third place finish at the Stetson Hatter Invitational on Friday afternoon in DeLand, Fla. The Dolphins men's cross country team placed 12th at the invitational.

Along with Heffernan, the Dolphins had two other runners finish in the top-15. Senior Lindsey Moffenbier finished seventh with a time of 20:13, while senior Rachel Garvin ranked 15th (20:49). Junior Stacey Ollar placed 27th with a time of 21:27 and sophomore Danielle Coyle was 35th (21:44) to round out the Dolphins.

On the men's side, sophomore Jeff Wolf finished 55th with a time of 31:23. Sophomore Trebor DeVerter placed 59th with 31:39, while sophomore Charlie Allen ranked 64th (32:37). Junior Kevin Stuart finished 81st with a time of 35:32 and senior John Hoffman placed 85th with a time of 36:29.

The Dolphins return to action on Saturday Oct. 29, as they travel to compete in the Atlantic Sun championship at 9 a.m. in Buies Creek, N.C.
