Cross country teams race towards the Atlantic Sun Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - The Jacksonville men's and women's cross country teams are going through final preparations for the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in Buies Creek, N.C. on Saturday at 9 a.m.

"This is the time of year when motivtation and training come together to produce the year's best performances," said head coach Ron Grigg. "I'm expecting good performances from both of our teams."

The Dolphin women will be led by sophomore Fallon Heffernan (Neptune, Beach, Fla./Fletcher). Heffernan has finished in the top-five in two of out three fall meets. She recently finished in second place at the Stetson Hatter Invitational two weeks ago. Senior Lindsey Moffenbier will be counted on to help out the Dolphins after placing seventh at the Stetson Hatter Invitational.

On the men's side, sophomore Jeff Wolf will pace the Dolphins. He has been the men's top finisher in two meets this season. Sophomore Trebor DeVerter will help the men's team out after his strong finish at the Stetson Hatter Invitational.
