The Jacksonville University track and field team posts 13 season-bests finishes to complete a stellar day at the Diet Pepsi Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Gainesville, Fla.

"This was a good last meet before our conference championship," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "We had strong performances across the board. Now we will rest a little and see what happens in two weekends."

Junior Janita Ocana and freshman Shunisha McClinton led the Dolphins by posting season bests in three events.

Ocana tallied an 11.91 to finish 14th in the 100-meter dash. She also took 14th place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.25. In the Long Jump, she posted a jump of 19-01.25 to finish in eighth place. The marks in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes are now first in the Atlantic Sun conference, while the Long Jump ranks second in the conference.

McClinton finished with season best in the shot put, hammer throw and discus throw.

Harvey took 15th place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.21, while finishing 11th in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.39).

Along with Ocana, Rogers also posted a season best in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.
