JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's cross country team earned the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic team honors after posting a 3.5 GPA in the classroom during the 2005-06 school year.

"I am proud of our team for their accomplishments in the classroom," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "It is a testament to their work ethic that they can be successful in both their studies and athletics."

On the WICCA all-academic list, the Dolphins rank 27th in the nation. They also join the list with fellow Atlantic Sun Conference members Belmont, Gardner-Webb and Campbell.

The Dolphins had a solid 2005 season. Sophomore Fallon Heffernan was the Dolphins top finisher in every meet and finished ninth at the A-Sun Championship to earn all-conference honors. She also placed 39th in the NCAA East Regional.
