JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - With a short break in finals, the JU track and field team will head down to Orlando, Fla. to compete in the UCF Golden Knight Twilight on Saturday.

This is the Dolphins' final regular season meet before they head to the Atlantic Sun Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 11-12.

"This weekend we are looking for solid performances in the field events and relays," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "I also suspect we will see some good things happen in the 800."

Last weekend, the Dolphins broke two school records, had three regional qualifying marks and posted six seasonal bests to complete a successful day at the LSU Alumni Gold on April 21 in Baton Rouge, La.

Sophomore Janel Grooms broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a regional qualifying mark of 58.86 to finish second, while sophomore Shaquania Lundy tallied a new school record in the triple jump with a leap of 39'07" (12.96m) to place eighth.

In the long jump, sophomore Natasha Harvey qualified for regionals for the second straight season with a jump of 20'06.5" (6.26m) to place fourth. Senior Janita Ocana finished seventh in the long jump after tallying her third consecutive long jumping regional qualifying mark with a jump of 20'01" (6.12m).
