Prior to JU: Competed in track at North Iowa Arena Community College in Mason City, Iowa under Curtis Vais and Tony Burh…earned five junior college All-America honors in her two-year tenure…tallied outdoor school records in the hammer (154-04, 47.00m), javelin (125-06, 38.26m) and shot put (44-9.5, 13.65m)…also set the school indoor marks in shot put (43-7, 13.28m) and weight throw (52-4.75, 15.97) as well.

High School: Was a three-sport athlete at Pahokee (Fla.) High School…as a senior, helped lead the Devils’ weightlifting and track team to a regional title…earned Florida High School Athletic Association Finals MVP at the weight lifting after dead lifting 350 pounds and benching 205 pounds…also played three years of flag football...named “Athlete of the Year” over current Florida State running back Antone Smith…a member of the Youth for Christ club that spent time helping the homeless in Jamaica.
